Farday evening, local CPM MLA Bhaktaram Pan was beaten in Chanditala Bazar (market) by local shopkeepers as he advocated the acquisition of land in Dankuni. The shopkeepers who were involved are also known as CPM supporters. Local MLA is so ashamed that he didn’t report to police.

To protest the land acquisition in Dankuni people blocked the Delhi Road at Vadua-Mollaber more on Saturday Jan 6, 06.
